Anomaly detection Walkthrough

Lifetimely’s anomaly detection report helps spotting unusual trends in your marketing performance indicators — spend, conversion and revenue. It looks at the 7 day rolling average of these metrics and highlights deviations from that. Here are some examples of how this can be helpful:

  • Having a spike in conversion on a campaign that's over performing and needs more budget is a good thing to know as soon as possible
  • Same for dips in revenue to see when effectiveness is wearing off 
  • This is especially important when a campaign is over spending without bringing the results necessary so you can pivot your budget to other better performing ones
  • Go deeper into an anomaly by drilling down to see which campaigns triggered a specific anomaly to know how to course correct

The report is divided in two sections:

A chart of how each metric has performed overtime with the latest 4 anomalies

  • The system automatically flags unusual spikes or drops in performance. This helps you stay on top of important changes without needing to manually monitor metrics.
  • These alerts help ensure you don’t miss critical shifts in performance, allowing you to investigate and optimize your campaigns as needed.
  • A list of the all remaining anomalies for the time period selected
  • Click the eye icon to see the anomaly in the chart and analyze the days before and after the anomaly to get more context on how it happened.
  • For each flagged anomaly, you can drill down to see specific details about the affected campaigns. This detailed breakdown allows you to quickly investigate potential causes within the campaigns and take action to address performance issues.
