How to Integrate an Ad Channel (Facebook or Google) with Lifetimely
Integrating your ad channels, like Facebook or Google, with Lifetimely allows you to track ad spend, ROI, and overall performance directly within the app. Follow these steps to connect your ad account!
Steps to Integrate an Ad Channel
- Access the Integrations Tab
From your Lifetimely dashboard, navigate to the Integrations tab on the left-hand sidebar. - Select Your Ad Channel
Under the Integrations tab, you’ll see a list of available app integrations, including Facebook Ads and Google Ads. - Authorize Your Ad Account
- Click on the ad channel you want to integrate (e.g., Facebook Ads or Google Ads).
- You will be prompted to log into your ad account. Be sure to log in with the account that has access to the specific ad accounts you want to connect.
- Review the permissions Lifetimely is requesting, then click Allow or Continue to authorize access.
- If prompted, select the specific ad accounts you want to connect to Lifetimely.
- Confirm Connection
- Verify that your ad account is now Connected in the Integrations tab.
- Once connected, Lifetimely will begin syncing data from your ad account. This process may take up to 30 minutes, depending on the amount of data being imported.
- Go to the Ad Spend or Marketing Performance sections in Lifetimely to review your data.
- You can adjust settings such as date ranges, attribution windows, and other preferences to customize how your ad data is displayed.
Changing or Updating the Facebook Ads or Google Account
If you need to connect a different Ads account:
- Navigate to the Integrations section within Lifetimely.
- Click Disconnect Account for the currently linked integration Ads account.
- Reconnect Lifetimely with the new Facebook Ads or Google account by logging in and authorizing access.
- Allow up to 30 minutes for the data to sync from the new account. You will see a green message with "Connected, Synced 'x' minutes/hours" once the data has successfully synced with Lifetimely.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Enable Pop-ups: Ensure your browser is not blocking pop-ups during the integration process.
- Reconnect if Disconnected: If the integration appears disconnected, click the Reconnect button next to the ad account and follow the prompts.
- Verify the Correct Account: Double-check that you’re using the correct credentials and selecting the intended ad accounts during setup.
- Linked Personal and Business Accounts: If personal and business accounts are linked, ensure you’re selecting the correct ad account during the integration process. Double-check that your Facebook account has the necessary permissions for the company’s ad account.
- Personal vs. Business Account Conflicts: If the company ad account is connected to a Business Manager account under your personal Facebook, note that there may be no way to bypass the connection to your personal Facebook account. Confirm with your Business Manager if the correct account is connected for ad spend.
