How to connect and manage multiple Shopify stores on the same account

How to connect multiple Shopify stores to the same account

đź’ˇNote: Although you can connect as many stores as you'd like to a single Lifetimely account, you will still be charged a separate subscription for each store.
1

Find the Multiple shops tab of the Settings page

Click “+ Add another store” from the Store drop-down menu in the left-side navigation bar (or click Settings > Multiple shops).

2

Click “+ Add another store”

From the Multiple shops tab of the Settings page, click “+ Add another store”.

3

Create or sign into your designated multi-store Lifetimely account to manage your stores

Due to restrictions in Shopify’s plug-in platform, you will need a designated multi-store Lifetimely account to link and manage multiple stores from the same account. It's free to create this account, but you will be charged a separate subscription for each store that you track in Lifetimely.

Anytime you want to access multi-store functionality, you will need to log in to your Lifetimely account from our sign-in page at https://app.lifetimely.io/sign_in instead of via Shopify Apps.

If this is your first time adding a store:

Before adding your first store, you’ll have to create your designated Lifetimely account. This is a very quick set-up process you'll only have to do once.

  1. After clicking “+ Add another store”, you’ll see a dialog box asking you to create or log into your Lifetimely account. Click “Log in / Create account” to continue.

  2. Enter your info where prompted and click "Create account".
  3. You will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address. To confirm it, just click on the link provided in the email.
  4. (After signing up, you may have to repeat Step 1 above to return to the "Multiple shops" tab.)

If you’ve already created your multi-store Lifetimely account:

  1. After clicking “+ Add another store”, you’ll see a dialog box asking you to create or log into your Lifetimely account. Click “Log in / Create account” to continue.

  2. Click “Log in to my account” and then sign in with your designated multi-store Lifetimely account credentials.

  3. (After logging in, you may have to repeat Step 1 above to return to the "Multiple shops" tab.)

4

Enter the Shopify store URL of the shop you want to connect

Once you’re logged into your designated multi-store Lifetimely account, then clicking “+ Add another store” in the Multiple shops tab will prompt you to enter your store’s Shopify URL.

After entering your URL, click “Add store”.

5

Authenticate your store in Shopify

After clicking "Add store", you will be redirected to Shopify to enter your Shopify credentials and confirm your app permissions.

And that's it! The new store is connected to your account. When you return to Lifetimely, you will see it listed in the Multiple shops tab.

If you'd like to connect more stores, just repeat this process without Step 3 (because you're already logged into your multi-store Lifetimely account). There's no limit to the number of stores you can connect.

How to toggle between individual stores and the consolidated view

⚠️ Reminder: To access multi-store functionality, you first need to log in to your Lifetimely account from our sign-in page at https://app.lifetimely.io/sign_in (instead of via Shopify Apps).
Toggling between stores

To toggle between stores in your profit dashboard, just click on the Store drop-down menu in the left navigation bar. You'll see a list of all stores connected to your account. Just click on the store whose metrics you'd like to see displayed in your dashboard.

Consolidated view

The P&L metrics you see in the "Consolidated view" are the combined totals of all stores you've connected to your multi-store account. To access this view, just click on the Store drop-down menu in the left navigation bar and select "Consolidated view".

⚠️ Note: The totals you see in the consolidated view for a given date range may not match exactly with the sum of each individual store's metrics for the same date range. If this occurs, it's likely due to differences in default time zone between stores.

How to manage your multi-store settings

Multi-store settings

If you add stores to your account with different base currencies and/or time zones, you can select the default currency and time zone to use for calculating all metrics in the "Consolidated view." (As noted above, keep in mind that when multiple stores are adapted to the same time zone, the sum of each store's metrics may not add up exactly to the consolidated view's metrics for a given date range due to some orders being assigned a day earlier or later under the new default time zone.)

You can also control whether to assign refunds to the date of the original order rather than the default setting of assigning refunds to the date that they're processed.

To remove a store from your multi-store account, go to the "Multiple shops" tab of Settings and click the trash bin icon of the store you wish to unlink.

You'll be prompted with a dialog box asking you to confirm. To continue, click "Unlink shop". The shop will be immediately unlinked from your multi-store account.
